Pitch was a dating app designed to introduce people personality-first. Users would record a 21-second audio clip where they could crack a joke, tell stories, show off a talent, or otherwise introduce themselves however they saw fit. After that introduction and a text bio, users could reveal the picture of the person behind the pitch.
Interested parties would match and begin conversing. Additionally, they'd be presented with an idea and coupon to a local date spot: improv comedy, ice cream, novelty drinks, Nerf tag, you name it.
If the heavy use of past tense wasn't obvious enough, I'll come out and say Pitch was shuttered after several months. While our users and advertisers loved what we were doing, we ultimately failed to get enough users to sustain use.
